Foodpro 2017

The 12th edition of Foodpro^®, India’s biennial event on food processing & packaging technology, took place from 7^th - 9^th September 2017 at the Chennai Trade Centre. This year’s Foodpro was very well received, with more attendees and a wider participation at the event than ever before, making it an ideal platform for business collaboration and information sharing.

Flowcrete India participated in the trade expo and displayed its wide range of high performance flooring products that have been specifically designed to overcome the many complex demands faced by the food and beverage industry.

Over 200 exhibitors were on hand at the event, which also had concurrent shows on cold storage and traditional foods. A two-day ‘Conference on Trends in Food Processing Technologies, Packaging and Cold Storage technology’ took place during Foodpro to provide technology based knowledge sharing in the agro and food processing sector. Flowcrete India’s Vice President Mr M. Vivekanandan delivered a presentation on cold storage flooring as part of this conference.

The HACCP International certified, polyurethane Flowfresh range was Flowcrete India’s star attraction at Foodpro and it generated a lot of interest among the attendees that visited its stand. Every system in the Flowfresh collection incorporates the silver-ion based antimicrobial additive Polygiene®, which inhibits the growth of bacteria and germs on the surface of the floor. This bacterial property has been tested to the ISO 22916 standard, which measures a surface’s antibacterial effectiveness.

Flowcrete India also showcased its Euclid Chemical solutions suitable for the food and beverage industry. These systems have only recently been introduced to the Indian construction market and by adding them to its product catalogue Flowcrete India is able to provide a one-stop solution for all its client’s construction needs.

The resin flooring manufacturer experienced a high footfall at its stand, with visitors covering every aspect of the food processing, packaging and technology industry. Throughout Foodpro 2017, Flowcrete India’s different sales teams engaged clients in many thought-provoking discussions regarding different product categories.
